About Sale Solar

Who runs Sale Solar, what happens to your solar or battery enquiry in Sale VIC, and how to check an installer's licence and SAA accreditation.

Sale Solar is an enquiry and referral website for solar panels, home batteries and solar repairs in Sale and the rest of Wellington Shire. Yes Right Pty Ltd (ABN 91 664 546 061) owns and runs it. The site does not install, service or sell anything: an independent local installer or electrician reads your enquiry, decides whether to take it on, and quotes on its own terms.

Who operates this website?

Yes Right Pty Ltd runs the site and the enquiry form. We are not an electrical contractor, a solar retailer or an authorised Solar Homes retailer. We do not hold an electrical licence, we have no workshop or showroom in Sale, and we do not claim reviews, completed installations or warranties. Photos on the site, once added, show the kind of work described and are not jobs arranged through this site.

What happens after you send an enquiry?

  1. You fill in the enquiry form with your suburb, contact details and a description of the job.
  2. Your details are passed to an independent provider that works in your area and does that type of solar or battery work.
  3. That provider contacts you, asks any questions it needs (photos of the switchboard, a recent power bill, roof details) and decides whether to quote.
  4. If you go ahead, the contract is between you and the provider. You can say no to any quote.

The provider may pay Yes Right Pty Ltd a referral fee. That fee does not change your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and you are never obliged to accept a quote. How your details are stored and passed on is set out in the privacy policy.

What is the provider responsible for?

Everything about the job itself sits with the business you engage:

  • the system design, product choice and written quote
  • applying to AusNet Services for connection pre-approval where the job needs it
  • uploading your quote to the Solar Victoria portal if you are claiming a Solar Homes rebate (only authorised retailers can do this)
  • the installation, testing, the independent inspection and your Certificate of Electrical Safety
  • product and workmanship warranties, and any follow-up visits

Availability, start dates and prices are set by the provider. Sale Solar cannot promise that a provider will be free for a given week or that every enquiry will be accepted.

How do I check a solar installer’s licence in Victoria?

Before you sign, ask for the business name, its Registered Electrical Contractor number and the name of the person who will install the system. Then check them yourself on the public registers:

What to check Where to check it
The business is a Registered Electrical Contractor Energy Safe Victoria public registers
The electrician holds a current licence Licensed Electrical Worker search, on the same Energy Safe page
The installer is accredited for solar or battery work Solar Accreditation Australia status check
The retailer is signed up to the consumer code New Energy Tech Consumer Code approved sellers
The retailer can offer a Solar Homes rebate Authorised retailer list on Solar Victoria

Solar Accreditation Australia accredits individual people rather than companies, so a business name alone will not show up. Ask which accredited installer will be on your roof and search their name or accreditation number.

Solar panels and battery systems are prescribed electrical work in Victoria. That means an independent Licensed Electrical Inspector has to check the installation, and you should receive a Certificate of Electrical Safety once the inspection is done. Energy Safe explains the certificate and what to do if you do not get one.

What this site will not do

Do not use the form for an emergency. If you smell burning, hear crackling from an inverter or isolator, or see smoke, keep clear of the equipment and call 000. For a fallen powerline or a supply fault, contact AusNet Services directly.

The solar and battery services listed on this site explain what to include in an enquiry for each type of job, and the Sale area page covers local conditions. When you are ready, send your solar or battery enquiry with your suburb, roof type and what you want the system to do.
